How to Enter Account & Bill Numbers

Account Numbers

Property Tax account numbers must be 10 digits in length. If your account number is less than 10 digits then your account number will require leading zeros for the system to find your account. For example, if your account number is 82512345 (8 digits) then you must put two zeros in front making your account number 0082512345.

Vehicle Tax account numbers must be 12 digits in length. This number should be entered exactly as it is found on your tax bill. An example of a vehicle account number would be 200612345600.

Bill Numbers

Property Tax bill numbers must be 10 digits in length. They should start with the year of tax you are attempting to pay, followed by your bill number. If your bill number as it appears on your bill is less than 6 digits in length then your bill number must have leading zeros. For example, you want to pay a 2006 real estate tax bill and your bill number is 1234 you must enter the bill as 2006001234.

Vehicle Tax bill numbers must be 10 digits in length also. The bill number is identical to the account number minus the last two digits. It should start with the year of tax you are attempting to pay, followed by your bill number. If your bill number as it appears on your bill is less than 6 digits in length then your bill number must have leading zeros. For example, you want to pay a 2006 motor vehicle tax bill and your bill number is 1234 you must enter the bill as 2006001234 (for this bill your account number would be 200600123400).
